Ram Charan in Peddi
Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Peddi is among the most anticipated films of the year. The film has been scheduled for an April 30 release. The date was fixed after it faced a postponement earlier. Now, certain reports suggest that the film may face yet another delay.
According to a report in 123Telugu, the Buchi Babu Sana directorial is looking at a potential delay in its release. The film is yet to wrap up shooting, and if the makers are able to complete it in time, it can still meet the April 30 release date. Quoting a source, the portal reported, "Only a few portions of the shoot are still pending, including a special item song and a few minor scenes. The makers reportedly need around ten more days of call sheets to complete the entire shoot. If everything goes according to plan, the team is confident of wrapping up the film very soon."
Following the phenomenal success of the first song Chikiri Chikiri, the makers have unveiled the second single, Rai Rai Raa Raa earlier this month. The track is another high-energy anthem, with Ram Charan once again showcasing his effortless dance moves, style, and undeniable swag, reminding everyone why he is considered one of the finest dancers in Indian cinema. Adding to the magic is the music by A. R. Rahman, whose vibrant composition elevates the song into a pulsating and upbeat number.
The team of the upcoming Telugu film Peddi has urged fans not to believe rumours circulating on social media about the film's final runtime.
Publicist Vamsi Sekhar took to his X handle to say, "Don't believe any rumours circulating online about the final runtime of Peddi. Only the first half of Peddi has been locked, and the RR too is in the completion stage by A.R. Rahman. The second half is currently in the final shooting stage, with editing progressing simultaneously at a brisk pace. It will be completed very soon. Everything is right on track for the grand release on April 30, 2026."
