Born in Kabul on February 23, 1999, Warina Hussain moved to India around 11 years ago and started modelling. Warina is the only child from an Iraqi father and Afghani mother. Her mother is based in the US, and the budding actress always stays in touch with her mother through calls. (All pictures/Warina Hussain's official Instagram account)

Warina Hussain studied acting at the New York Film Academy. The actress has been seen as a part of many commercial ad campaigns, the recent one being the Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk ad.

Warina first worked in print ad for a cycle brand, where she earned Rs 3,000. She apparently gave Rs 1,000 to her mother and the rest went to her friends, who wanted a party!

In 2013, Warina Hussain started modelling in Delhi and later shifted base to Mumbai. She was always inclined towards acting and started training in the craft and began auditioning for films and commercials.

Knowing nothing of the industry then, Warina was quite nervous when she did her first portfolio. Recalling the memory, the actress told mid-day in 2019, 'Today, I find myself at the same spot where I was six years ago. This is my first film and I have no idea about how to go about it.'

Very few know that before LoveYatri, Warina had bagged a film. She was almost on board but the project never took off.

Warina Hussain has faced her fair share of struggles in the film industry. She has faced several rejections for films, moreover, because she couldn't speak in Hindi fluently.

However, after spending almost a decade in India, unlike other foreign exports, Warina now has now a good command over Hindi. Not just Hindi, she also understands Marathi.

With a major chunk of her life gone in giving auditions and modelling, Warina Hussain considers LoveYatri her last audition for the audience.

Warina Hussain romanced Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan's brother-in-law in her Bollywood debut LoveYatri. Recalling her first meeting with the star at his residence, Warina said, 'He was so nice. He is always very positive about everything. He has been so supportive of me throughout. He is a real-life hero for me. My life totally changed because of him. Despite me coming from a very different background, he gave me this huge break.'

Warina Hussain also revealed how she bagged LoveYatri. Recalling her audition days, Warina told mid-day, 'I was auditioning for a couple of films, there was a contest on 'Being in Touch' app. I applied and after almost a month I got a call for an audition. When I received the script, there were no details about the production house or the hero, which usually are mentioned, I thought it will be a huge film and I auditioned.'

'It is difficult to bag a project. There is so much competition, you end up questioning your craft. To make a debut in a film produced by Salman Khan is surreal. The bigger the project, the more responsibility you have and I am aware of it. I am so grateful to him, this still feels like a dream,' Warina further added.

As the majority of India's audience's choice, Warina Hussain's mother is also a Salman Khan fan! She wishes to meet the superstar, whenever she comes India.

But, Warina Hussain's favourite actor is not Salman Khan but Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In fact, Aayush Sharma even pulls her leg over her fascination for Nawaz.

Though Warina Hussain's Bollywood debut flopped at the Box Office, she managed to bag limelight as she featured in the video of the song "She move it like" by rapper Badshah.

After grooving to Badshah's tunes, Warina Hussain got lucky as got the opportunity to dance with Salman Khan in Munna Badnaam Hua from Dabangg 3.

Only a film old in the industry, the youngster's act was inevitably compared to that of Malaika Arora, who made Munni Badnaam Hui from Dabangg one of Bollywood's most popular songs. But much to everyone's surprise, Warina was called Millennial Munni!

Here's wishing belated happy birthday to Warina!
