Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter has revealed she faced sexual abuse on the sets of the 1970s TV series

Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter has revealed she faced sexual abuse on the sets of the 1970s TV series. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Carter said she faced inappropriate behaviour from a man who she said had violated "a lot of people" and was already facing consequences amid the #MeToo movement.

"He's already being done in. There's no advantage in piling on again. There's nothing legally I could add to it, because I looked into it. I'm just another face in the crowd¿ I don't want it to be about me, it's not about me. It's about him being a scumbag," she said. Carter also said that a cameraman on the "Wonder Woman" TV series set drilled a peep hole into the wall of her dressing room.

He was caught and fired, but Carter said she was still recovering from the experiences. The 66-year-old actor said while sexual harassment and abuse were rampant, she and other women often did not report it because they feared negative consequences. Instead, women tried to protect themselves and others "through the grapevine", warning each other about certain people in the industry. "It's not news to us (women), but it is news to you (men). We've been trying to tell you. We've been trying to tell you for a long time and you haven't listened," she added.
