Hollywood stars Al Pacino, Tom Hardy and Kate Winslet are tipped to star in a movie about Marine A.

Alexander Blackman, the Royal Marine sergeant jailed for killing a wounded Taliban insurgent in Afghanistan, was released on Thursday night after serving three and a half years in prison.

Blackman, known as Marine A during his court martial, was whisked away to a secret location to be with his wife, Claire. His lawyer, Jonathan Goldberg, said there was talk of Blackman being played by Hardy, Claire Blackman by Kate and Goldberg himself by Pacino.
