Ryan Reynolds has publicly voiced his support for wife Blake Lively amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. She has filed a legal suit against It Ends With Us co-star accusing him of harassment. Calling her strength and integrity inspiring, Reynolds addressed the situation while keeping details limited. A trial in the case is currently scheduled for May 18.

During a conversation in Today's Sunday Sitdown Live series, the Deadpool star spoke about the high-profile legal dispute and stated, "Really, without getting into too much, I have never in my life been more proud of my wife. People have no idea what is really going on. I've never been more proud of someone in my life, with that level of integrity that they bring with them in everything they do."

"You really see kind of the illusion behind so much of this stuff, you know? Digital life versus real life," Ryan added.

Amid Blake's ongoing legal battle, she and Ryan have been stepping out together quite often. Ryan, 49, and Blake, 38, share four kids: three daughters (James, 11; Inez, 9; and Betty, 6) and a son, Olin, 3.

About Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's dispute

Lively had accused Baldoni of harassing her on the set of It Ends With Us and of collaborating with his publicists to orchestrate a smear campaign against her after she raised concerns.

A US federal judge recently struck down 10 out of 13 allegations made by Lively. Despite this setback, the actress remains committed to pursuing justice. "I will never stop doing my part in fighting to expose the systems and people who seek to harm, shame, silence and retaliate against victims," she wrote, adding, "I know it's a privilege to be able to stand up. I will not waste it."

Baldoni has denied wrongdoing. His legal team has argued in a summary judgment motion that the allegations amount to minor grievances that do not meet the legal threshold for harassment.

Meanwhile, Lively's attorneys have maintained that other actors also raised concerns about Baldoni's conduct on set and that the claims warrant a jury's consideration.

A trial in the case is currently scheduled for May 18. Judge Lewis Liman is also weighing whether to dismiss or significantly narrow Lively's complaint ahead of trial.
