The Housemaid fame Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have confirmed that they have parted ways after nine years of marriage. The actors, who first met while working together in 2015, married in 2017 and share two children. In a joint statement, the former couple said they had been separated for some time and that the decision was right for their family.
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have split after nine years, the couple confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE. "We have been separated for a while, and it's proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We've got each other forever - and it's GOOD," Seyfried and Sadoski said in their statement.
Seyfried, 40, and Sadoski, 50, first met in 2015 while starring together in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By.
The pair reunited later that year on the set of The Last Word, in which they played love interests. By the following spring, their on-screen connection had become a real-life romance. After dating for a few years and getting engaged in 2016, they tied the knot the following year. Seyfried and Sadoski welcomed their first child, daughter Nina, a few days after their wedding, and then welcomed their second child, son Thomas Jr., in September 2020.
Meanwhile, the actress enjoyed huge success with The Housemaid in 2025, and the actress previously lavished praise on her co-star, Sydney Sweeney. Seyfried praised Sweeney for how she has coped with the pressures of fame and success. The Hollywood star told Vanity Fair, "I don't envy anything she's going through. I've spent a lot of time with her; we just hit it off immediately. She's a sweetheart. She's a very generous, kind person at her core. I have to be honest: I did not have a moment like she's having ever."
She also played Sophie Sheridan in the first two Mamma Mia! movies and has revealed that she'd jump at the chance to appear in a third film. The Mamma Mia! franchise has proven to be a huge hit with fans since the first movie premiered in 2008. The actress had a busy end to 2025, with the musical drama The Testament of Ann Lee.
