During a recent interview, Tauben shared amusing behind-the-scenes stories from his time working with Priyanka on the show. Recalling her approach to costumes, he revealed that the actress was often hard on her wardrobe, especially while shooting physically demanding scenes.
"Priyanka was rough on clothes," Tauben said, explaining that her intense commitment to action sequences frequently led to wear and tear on costumes. Rather than worrying about keeping designer pieces pristine, the actress focused on delivering convincing performances.
One incident that particularly stood out involved an expensive pair of luxury shoes. According to Tauben, Priyanka had a habit of kicking doors open while filming scenes, which often damaged the footwear. "She would them to the side," he recalled. "I remember there were shoes worth about Rs 95,000, and she would just kick the doors with them."
The stylist shared the anecdote with affection, noting that Priyanka's actions reflected her dedication to the role rather than carelessness. For her, performing the scene authentically always took priority over protecting costly fashion items.
Tauben explained that working on Quantico required a practical approach to wardrobe because of the physically demanding nature of the series. As a result, costumes often had to withstand far more than ordinary wear.
"She was very committed to what she was doing," Tauben said, highlighting how seriously the actress approached her work. Premiering in 2015, Quantico became a breakthrough project for Priyanka in the United States. Her portrayal of FBI recruit Alex Parrish earned widespread attention and introduced her to a global television audience. The role demanded not only emotional depth but also considerable physical effort, making costume damage an occasional occupational hazard.
