'It was embarassing': Harry Potter fame Jessie Cave reveals shocking reason for joining OnlyFans as a mother of four

Harry Potter actor Jessie Cave, who portrayed Lavender Brown in three of the movies, recently made shocking revelations about joining OnlyFans. The mother of four shared that her decision to launch an OnlyFans account was to help get her out of debt. However, she shared that her decision resulted in a Potter fan convention barring her from being included.

Jessie recently appeared in a recent interview on the U.K. talk show This Morning, where she shared, "People just assume I'm rich and I have loads of money and no I don't," adding that her role as Lavender Brown "was a small-ish part and it was 20 years ago."

Further talking about joining OnlyFans, Jessie added, "So it was embarrassing, because on a certain level, I would have really liked to get a job. But you know what it's like, you have kids. It costs so much for childcare… [OnlyFans] really has saved me."

Cave, who referred to herself as a "struggling artist," stated that she mainly does one-woman shows with puppets these days. However, she admits that her OnlyFans page has given her the opportunity to continue with these artistic endeavours. She says, "This is how I'm making a living as an artist, which… I want to have less shame about it. I want other people who do weird art like me, I want them to know that there is some way of still making it."

Notably, Cave started her OnlyFans account for her hair in May 2025. In an Instagram video at the time, she shared that she would be offering subscribers "the best quality hair sounds" and "very sensual stuff." However, Cave does not post sexual or explicit content to OnlyFans.

"My aim? To get the house safe, cover the arsenic/lead wallpaper, build a new roof etc. My aim? To get out of debt. My aim? To empower myself? To prove to those in the past who have misjudged me that I'm not so sweet? To put time into something I never invested in before: self-love," Cave said.

For the unversed, Cave appeared as Lavender Brown in the 2009 film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and later reprised her role in both Deathly Hallows movies. Although she is best known for her work in the Harry Potter movies, the actor has also appeared in films such as Great Expectations as well as in television series like Black Mirror and Industry. She has also voiced Lavender Brown in two Harry Potter video games.

During the interview, Cave also shared that a Harry Potter fan convention barred her from attending a few months later, citing "OnlyFans is affiliated with porn." Expressing shock over the same, Cave stated that the decision was "baffling to me, as some actors who do conventions (most actors, actually) have done TV and films in which they've done sex scenes and nudity. I'm just playing with my hair!"

"I am not upset about the prospect of no more ‘Harry Potter' conventions. There's going to be a new cast now and it's a different time. Plus, I have done conventions for over 15 years and have enough photos and wizard memorabilia," she added.

Interestingly, American Pie actress Shannon Elizabeth also joined OnlyFans earlier this year.
