Actor Nick Pasqual, known for his appearance in Season 7 of How I Met Your Mother, has been convicted two years after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend multiple times. The 36-year-old actor was found guilty by a Los Angeles jury on multiple serious charges and now faces a possible life sentence. His punishment will be determined at an upcoming sentencing hearing.

Nick Pasqual charged for attempted murder

Pasqual was found guilty of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, multiple counts of injuring a spouse or cohabitant, and one count of forcible rape. The case was heard during a jury trial in San Fernando, California.

According to reports, the attack took place on May 23, 2024, when Pasqual allegedly entered the home of his estranged girlfriend, Alli Shehorn, and stabbed her more than 20 times.

At the time of the attack, Shehorn had already obtained a restraining order against Pasqual following earlier allegations of abuse, including claims of physical and sexual assault.

After the stabbing, Pasqual allegedly attempted to flee to Mexico but was later arrested near the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas and extradited back to California.

When the victim recalled the incident

During the trial, victim Allie Shehorn recalled the horrifying moments leading up to the attack by her former partner. "I locked the door, and he just started punching holes in that door and broke it open," she said during her testimony, state reports. She added that she ran to the bathroom, hoping to lock herself inside and save herself from further attack.

Shehorn's roommate, Christine White, who found her after the assault, had earlier told KTLA, "I found her, and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn't a pretty sight. This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody."

Pasqual was also convicted of forcible rape in connection with an earlier incident in April 2024.

What happens next?

Pasqual now faces a maximum sentence of life in state prison. His sentencing is scheduled for June 2, 2026, in Los Angeles, where a judge will determine his final sentence.
