Watch! Ice Age: Boiling Point teaser is out; the beloved herd is back and coming in hot

Grab your acorns and buckle up, because the most chaotically loveable herd in animated history is officially back and they are coming in absolutely blazing. Walt Disney Studios has just dropped a brand new teaser trailer and poster for Ice Age: Boiling Point and if you grew up watching Manny, Sid and Diego stumble their way through prehistoric disasters, prepare to feel every single childhood emotion all at once.

The teaser gives fans their best look yet at what promises to be the most spectacular and most dramatic chapter in the beloved franchise. After generating a massive wave of buzz with its first look at CinemaCon, the makers have now given audiences a proper taste of what's coming. And what's coming, apparently, involves the entire herd being launched out of a volcano. Because why not.

And yes, everyone is back. Ray Romano returns as the loveable mammoth Manny, Denis Leary is back as the ever-grumpy sabre-toothed tiger Diego, and John Leguizamo reprises his role as everyone's favourite disaster-magnet sloth, Sid. Queen Latifah returns as Ellie, Simon Pegg is back as the gloriously unhinged Buck, and fan-favourites Scrat, Crash, Eddie and Baby Scrat are all along for the ride. Honestly, the casting alone is enough to sell this film.

Deeper into the lost world

This time around, the herd ventures deeper into the treacherous Lost World than ever before, a dinosaur-and-lava-filled adventure that promises the trademark humour, heart and absolute chaos that has made Ice Age one of the most loved animated franchises of all time. Directed by John Donkin, Boiling Point looks set to deliver everything fans have been waiting for and then some.

One thing is certain, Ice Age: Boiling Point is shaping up to be the family film event of 2027. With a release date falling on 5th February, Disney clearly knows exactly what they are doing. Parents, brace yourselves for the non-stop requests to book those cinema tickets. And honestly? After seeing that teaser, we will be right there in the queue alongside you. The herd is back, the lava is flowing, and we simply cannot wait.
