The Sony hack was a company-wide infiltration that resulted in leaked emails, Social Security numbers, and salaries, reported US media.

"Sony only delayed this. Sony has been fighting to get this picture distributed. It will be distributed," Boies said on NBC's Meet the Press.

Following Sony's decision to pull the movie, numerous celebrities have spoken out and President Obama also made a statement on the subject saying the company 'made a mistake' by caving to the demands of the hackers, who have since been linked to North Korea.

The country has since spoken out calling the claims 'groundless slander' and offering a joint investigation into the hack.
