Woke up in love hitmaker Kygo joins forces with Ava Max to release a new collaboration, Whatever. Interestingly, the track is a reimagined version of Latin pop star Shakira's much-acclaimed, Whenever, wherever, the track that enabled the singer to break into the music scene in the United States after she had released four Spanish-language albums.

Kygo and Max's version comes 23 years after the release of the original, but like Vishal Dadlani had once told this newspaper - a hit song becoming a hit again is a no-brainer. The duo successfully breathes life into this version with a groovy score that is easy to get addicted to. It is certainly expected that this one, which drops at the onset of 2024, will become a party anthem in the upcoming year. After all, Kygo has displayed his ability to deftly judge the taste of dance music aficionados.
