Sydney Sweeney recently made headlines after her bold ad campaign, which generated massive backlash online. Amid the discussions around her campaign, the Euphoria actress is reportedly engaged to her boyfriend, businessman and investor Scooter Braun.
According to an In Touch Weekly report, an insider claimed that the couple has taken the next major step in their relationship after a year of dating. The 29-year-old actress reportedly moved in with him last month. The couple was first linked back in 2025 after they were spotted together at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding.
Several TikTok videos from the Italy wedding showed the pair together. Soon, rumours began doing the rounds around the duo's potential romance. Months later, they ultimately "hard launched" their relationship in May 2026 after attending the Stagecoach Music Festival together.
Page Six had earlier reported that Braun had likely planned to pop the question "in the next six months." "He is trying very hard to marry her. He is following her and chartering private planes. He's going to stay focused on her until she marries him," a source told the portal.
Most recently, the couple was seen together at the Venice Film Festival in Italy, where the actress made headlines for her daring red carpet outfit.
Later, on Sunday, September 12, Braun shared a video on Instagram to celebrate the star's birthday. In the caption, he wrote, "Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule. The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived."
Sweeney recently found herself facing backlash over her new ad for sports prediction market company Novig. Released last week, the ad features Sweeney posing naked with different sports equipment covering parts of her body.
The campaign received heavy criticism from several athletes and social media users, who questioned the way it portrayed women in sports. Critics even argued that it sexualises Sweeney while using the sports imagery of to promote a prediction market.
Amid the criticism, Sweeney indirectly reacted to it by sharing a series of posts on her Instagram Stories of sports stars including Serena Williams, Ronda Rousey and Sue Bird, posing nude in shoots or campaigns over the years.
