Even though Taylor Swift was not physically present at the latest live recording of New Heights, the global pop star still ended up becoming one of the biggest talking points of the evening. During Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce's sold-out live podcast event in Los Angeles on June 15, fans were treated to a surprise video featuring Swift that quickly sent the crowd into a frenzy.
The unseen clip was played on a giant screen as the Kelce brothers looked back at some memorable moments from their hit podcast. What followed was a playful glimpse into Swift and Kelce's relationship that had the audience laughing and cheering.
In the never-before-seen video, Swift could be seen jokingly feeding her fiancé Travis Kelce while the two appeared to be dining at a restaurant. Adding to the humour, the singer made exaggerated 'airplane noises' as she pretended to spoon-feed the NFL star, a playful gesture often associated with encouraging children to eat.
Kelce happily played along with the joke before responding with a cheeky gesture toward the camera, drawing loud reactions from the crowd. Despite lasting only a few moments, the clip instantly became one of the most discussed highlights of the night.
The footage was linked to a conversation from a May episode of New Heights, during which Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie Kelce discussed how Swift had helped broaden Travis' food preferences and encouraged him to try foods he previously avoided.
The joke gained even more traction after podcast producer Brandon Borders, popularly known as 'Intern Brandon,' quipped that Swift's secret to getting Kelce to eat was using 'little airplane noises.' The live audience finally got visual proof when the unreleased footage was shown during the event.
Although Swift remained in New York City and did not attend the Los Angeles show in person, her presence was felt throughout the evening. One display at the venue even featured artwork inspired by Pretty Woman, reimagining Swift and Kelce as the romantic comedy's lead couple with the tagline, "He walked off the field, into her life, and stole her heart."
The tribute, coupled with the surprise video appearance, ensured that Swift remained at the centre of conversation, proving once again that even when she is absent, she rarely stays out of the spotlight.
