Speculation surrounding Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce reached a new high on Thursday after a star-studded gathering at Madison Square Garden sparked reports that the couple's much-talked-about wedding celebrations may have officially begun. While neither Swift nor her team has confirmed the nature of the event, celebrity arrivals, heightened security and large-scale preparations have only fuelled the rumours.
Several high-profile names were spotted arriving at the venue, including Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Rachel Antonoff, Erin Andrews and Swift's longtime publicist Tree Paine. Reports also suggested that Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez were among those expected to attend celebrations linked to the couple.
Guests reportedly arrived in a convoy of black SUVs beneath a white canopy outside the venue, while Swift and Kelce were expected to use a private underground entrance. Around 100 guests were believed to be attending Thursday's event, widely described as a rehearsal dinner or pre-wedding celebration, with a much larger gathering reportedly planned for Friday.
Preparations around the iconic venue attracted as much attention as the guest list. Workers were seen installing blush-pink curtains, unloading event equipment and setting up a large white arrival tent, while police barricades and heavy security surrounded the area. Signs at the venue also indicated that filming and photography would take place between June 29 and July 3, adding to speculation.
New York officials confirmed that street closure permits had been issued for the area, although the organisers were not disclosed. Despite temperatures soaring above 37 degrees Celsius, fans gathered outside the venue throughout the day hoping to catch a glimpse of the celebrations.
Adding another dimension to the week, Swift and Kelce also announced a joint donation of 26 million USD to charities across the United States, including organisations in New York, Nashville and Kansas City. While their representatives confirmed the philanthropic initiative, they declined to comment on the ongoing wedding rumours.
For now, neither Swift nor Kelce has officially confirmed whether the celebrations are indeed part of their wedding festivities. Until then, fans continue to watch every development as one of pop culture's biggest mysteries unfolds.
