Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway is all set to return as Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2. The cast recently headed to London for the premiere and received an overwhelming response. Anne grabbed attention after she remarked "Inshallah," an Arabic phrase, in a recent interview. Following this, a fan gifted her a Quran, which she happily accepted.
After her "Inshallah" video, the actress was seen accepting a Quran (the Muslim holy book) as a gift from a fan. In the video, the fan says, "I have got this Quran for you. I saw the video where you said âInshallah'." The actress happily accepted the gift and thanked the fan.
This comes after a clip of Anne Hathaway circulated online, where she used the Arabic phrase "Inshallah" while reflecting on ageing during The Devil Wears Prada 2 promotional interviews. Speaking to People, Hathaway said, "I just feel like you can either fear ageing or you can fear dying young. I just really want to hopefully live and enjoy life. I want to have a long, healthy life, Inshallah."
Twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel - Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway magazine in 20th Century Studios' The Devil Wears Prada 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation. Oscar-winning actor Anne Hathaway has confirmed that efforts are actively underway to bring The Princess Diaries 3 to the big screen, revealing that she is "100 per cent" open to returning as Mia Thermopolis.
As per Deadline, in a recent interview, Hathaway said she and her team are currently working on developing the project, though the film has not yet received official approval. "We're constantly working on it. The Devil Wears Prada 2 cropped up unexpectedly and took over the space," she said, explaining that competing commitments temporarily shifted focus.
