Tom Holland clarifies Zendaya is his fiancee after reporter calls her his girlfriend

Tom Holland and Zendaya make one of the most loved pairs in Hollywood. The couple first crossed paths while shooting Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016 and confirmed their relationship in 2020. They got engaged earlier this year, in January. Recently, during an appearance, a reporter addressed Zendaya as Tom's girlfriend, and the actor's reaction left everyone in awe.

Tom Holland Corrects Reporter

The Spider-Man: No Way Home star adorably corrected a journalist who referred to Zendaya - whom he got engaged to in January - as his "girlfriend" while speaking on a panel. In the clip shared on X, the reporter recalled a recent event attended by the Euphoria actress: "I brought my daughter, and she got to meet your girlfriend. So, I was father of the year," as quoted by E! News. In response, Tom quickly corrected him, saying, "Fiancee."

In January, Tom Holland's father, Dominic Holland, shared exclusive details about his son's engagement to Zendaya, which the couple has kept largely private. In a post on Patreon, Dominic confirmed that Tom had indeed proposed in a carefully planned and intimate moment, according to E! News.

Days after Zendaya subtly hinted at her engagement by sporting a stunning 5-carat ring at the 2025 Golden Globes, Tom's father revealed the heartfelt preparation behind the proposal. "He had purchased a ring," Dominic wrote in the January 10 post, adding, "he had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out... when, where, how, what to say, what to wear."

After Zendaya and Tom Holland confirmed their engagement in January, following Zendaya debuting her ring at the Golden Globes, her stylist Law Roach revealed he will be involved in the wedding. "It's far away," Law said at the Fashion Trust Awards in Los Angeles.

He further shared that the wedding is not anytime soon: "I'm resting up for 2026. The process hasn't even started yet. Zendaya is working on so many movies. She's now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she's away doing that. It's so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time."

Meanwhile, Tom will also be seen next in director Christopher Nolan's epic drama Odyssey, scheduled to release in July 2026.
