Ricki and the Flash, a recently released comedy-drama, stars stalwart Meryl Streep as a rebellious, rule-defying rockstar with her real-life daughter Mamie Gummer, 32, as her heartbroken, estranged child. What seems to have clicked with the audience is the breezy but touching chemistry between the mother-daughter duo.

It must be intimidating to be the son of two-time Oscar winner and exemplary actor Tom Hanks. Will Smith and Jaden Smith

Diane Ladd and Laura Dern
Among the many talented parent-child pairs on this list, these two are the only ones who have to their name the esteemed merit of receiving the Academy Award nominations for the same movie - Rambling Rose (1991). Martin Sheen and Charlie Sheen
This team has acted on screen more times than most featured on this list. Starting with Wall Street (1987), they followed up their collaboration with Cadence (1990) and later Hot Shots! Part Deux (1993). In their last rendezvous, the two were seen in the sitcom Anger Management, where Martin played Charlie's on-screen father.

Demi Moore and Rumer Willis
Willis uploaded a picture of herself and her mom Moore wearing the same navy blue jumpsuit that soon went viral on the Internet. But it's not just their looks that the two are famous for. Rumer's an esta-blished actress too. The two starred together in Now and Then (1995) and Striptease (1996). Rumer has also shared the big screen with father Bruce Willis in Hostage (2005) and previously in The Whole Nine Yards (2000).
