Zendaya and Tom Holland
Hollywood actress Zendaya has opened up about her marriage rumours with fiancé Tom Holland. The Drama actress, who is currently busy promoting her new film alongside co-star Robert Pattinson, has so far maintained a stoic silence on the rumours.
According to People magazine, Zendaya explained the reason for not directly confirming or denying her speculated marriage to Holland. She was seen on the latest episode of The New York Times' Modern Love podcast. She said, "I just feel like for me there is a level of parasocial investment in my personal relationship, which I understand." She further added, "I'm aware that I'm a public person and so is he, and I'm also aware that we've grown up in front of people and we've done movies where we fall in love with each other, so I really do understand that, and I don't want to dismiss that like, 'Stay out of my business' or whatever".
She said, "In a lot of ways, I'm also a very private person and I try my best to be able to have things for myself and for him as well". Interestingly, she acknowledged that while they are not trying to "hide (themselves) from the world", they are trying to "preserve things" for themselves in order to "maintain that joy" between the them and their loved ones.
Zendaya also said that she understands that there's a lot of public interest in her relationship with Tom, but she refuses to share every detail with fans. "I hear it, but I also (have) my own little boundaries of what I like to bring up and talk about, but then also what I'm also willing to share, you know? I just try to find the balance in the middle there", she added.
The rumours started after Zendaya's long-time stylist and close confidant, Law Roach, walked the red carpet of the 2026 Actor Awards in Los Angele, during which he made the big revelation. While interacting at the red carpet interview, Roaxh said, "The wedding has already happened. You missed it."
When pressed further, "Is that true?" Law Roach confirmed, saying, "It's very true," before laughing and walking away.
