Prabhas and Deepika Padukone
Prabhas has plenty on his mind - and on his calendar. Sources say the actor will kickstart shooting for Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 on February 2. Deepika Padukone, who featured in the first instalment, has been dropped from the sequel. Prabhas, who began filming Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit in November 2025, also featuring Triptii Dimri, still has around 95 days of shoot left on the film. After commencing work on Kalki 2, he will reportedly return to the sets of Spirit on February 15. In the sequel, the actor is said to be reprising his dual roles of Bhairava and Karna.
In 2024, Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice to the Hindi-language version of Disney's Mufasa: The Lion King, alongside sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan. Now, the superstar is set to narrate The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky - a fireworks show aboard a cruise liner's inaugural sail in Singapore on March 10. Sharing his heartfelt reaction, SRK says, "The Lion King will always hold a special place in my heart, and its timeless messages of bravery and hope continue to resonate across generations. With my family and I having been a part of this incredible story before, narrating this new reimagining feels like a full-circle moment and a true passion project." Shah Rukh had also voiced Mufasa in the Hindi version of Disney's The Lion King (2019).
Farhan Akhtar's Manipuri-language coming-of-age drama Boong has earned a nod in the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) 2026 nominations. Directed by Lakshmipriya Devi and produced by Farhan, Vikesh Bhutani, Alan McAlex, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Shujaat Saudagar, the film - starring Gugun Kipgen and Bala Hijam - is nominated in the Best Children's and Family Film category. Boong premièred at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. The awards will be presented on February 22 in London. Other films competing in the category include, Arco, Lilo & Stitch, and Zootropolis 2.
Priyanka Chopra is back in Hyderabad to resume shooting for SS Rajamouli's Varanasi with Mahesh Babu. After ringing in the New Year with family and attending the Golden Globes, the actor has dived straight back into work mode. Amid the hustle, Priyanka shared a sweet moment on social media, hinting that she is missing husband Nick Jonas. In the video, she is seen smiling, blushing, and placing her palm over a palm print on her sweatshirt - believed to belong to Nick. She captioned the clip, "IYKYK miss you @nickjonas (sic)". Awww.
