Kannada playback singer LN Shastry, who was battling cancer, passed away at his residence in Bengaluru today. He was 46.
He is survived by his wife and singer Suma Shastry.
His biggest hit song as a singer has been 'Kolumande Jangamadevaru' from the film 'Janumada Jodi' in 1996 which gave him the big break. He was also bestowed with the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
LN Shastry had also composed music for several Kannada films.
