Actress Ankita Lokhande had, on Saturday, revealed that her house help's daughter has gone missing. Now, the actress, along with her businessman husband Vicky Jain, now, on Wednesday, evealed on Wednesday, August 6, revealed that the girl and one of her friends, both of whom were missing, are found safe. The couple also thanked Mumbai Police.
Taking to Instagram, Ankita shared a post on behalf of herself and her husband, Vicky Jain. The post read, "UPDATE: GIRLS FOUND SAFE We're relieved and overjoyed to share that Saloni and Neha have been found SAFE," their statement read.
Further in the caption, she wrote, "A heartfelt thank you to Mumbai police for acting swiftly and with such dedication you truly are the BEST. And thank you to every Mumbaikar who shared, supported.. Your prayers and help made all the difference. Grateful beyond words - Vicky & Ankita" (sic)
On Saturday, July 2, Ankita had shared a picture of her house help's daughter along with one of the girl's friends. She also shared a photo of the FIR that was filed and wrote a long caption that read, "URGENT: MISSING ALERT. Our house help Kanta's daughter and her daughter's friend, "Saloni and Neha", have been missing since 31st July, 10 AM. They were last seen near the Vakola area. An FIR has already been filed at Malvani Police Station, but their whereabouts are still unknown."
The Pavitra Rishta actress tagged the Mumbai police and urged everyone to help them as they are in dire need. She added, "They are not just part of our home they're family. We are deeply worried and request everyone, especially @mumbaipolice and Mumbaikars, to help us spread the word and assist in any way possible to bring them back safely. If anyone has seen or heard anything, please reach out immediately or report to the nearest police station. Your support and prayers mean everything right now."
"In this matter, a complaint has been registered at the Malwani police station by 34-year-old Kamta Ashok Mandal. According to the complaint, on July 31, an unidentified individual allegedly lured and abducted her 16-year-old daughter from their residence at B/83, Laxmi Chawl, Gate No. 8, Ambujwadi, Malvani. Based on the complaint, the Malwani police registered an FIR (C.R. No. 921/2025) under Section 137 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to the offence of kidnapping, against an unknown person. PSI Prakash Gorad from Malwani police station is currently investigating the matter. So far, no clue of the girl has been found", a staff reporter had said.
