Salman Khan, Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra
The current Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar is getting attention for a variety of reasons. While Saturday's show featured one of the season's most intense feedback sessions, Sunday will have Indian women's cricket stars Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra joining presenter Salman Khan on stage. Their participation comes after the Indian women's cricket team's historic World Cup win earlier this month. On the Bigg Boss stage, Jhulan and Anjum will discuss how this historic victory could affect the future of women's cricket in India.
In the most recent promo, Salman welcomes Jhulan and Anjum to Bigg Boss. On stage, Salman says, "Smriti and Harmanpreet had promised you that they would win the World Cup." Jhulan says, "When they came to me with the trophy, it was the biggest moment of my cricketing career." Salman then inquires about the most significant change that will occur as a result of the triumph. Anjum responds: "When young girls aspire to become the next Jhulan, Harman, or Smriti - that is what will drive the next generation."
After the shoot of the episode, Jhulan took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures with Salman. She penned, "This month so far has been filled with many unforgettable nights, and this was definitely one of those nights. Had such a lovely time sharing the stage with @beingsalmankhan and @anjum_chopra on Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar. Can't wait for you all to see the fun moments!"
On November 2, the Indian women's team, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, won the World Cup for the first time. Following the historic victory, the team handed over the trophy to Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, and Anjum Chopra in acknowledgement of their contributions to women's cricket. Mithali and Jhulan attended the match as commentators. During the ICC Review, Harmanpreet quipped, "The last time, back in 2022, when we returned after the World Cup, all of us were really sad. We knew that it was the last World Cup for Jhulan di and Mithali di. Smriti and I were sitting and talking, and we were sad that we couldn't deliver it to them. But we had decided that whenever we do it in the future, we will make sure that they will be in the stadium. We really want to capture that moment with them."
Salman Khan recently denied reports that Bigg Boss 19 would be extended, clarifying that the show will air for only 30 more days. The big finale of Bigg Boss 19 is slated for December 7.
