Actor Aman Gandhi, of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 fame, has been evicted from Bigg Boss 20, hosted by Salman Khan. He was evicted during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode after receiving the fewest votes. In an exclusive chat with mid-day, he talks about Mahhi Vij's game, being called Uditi Singh's assistant, and recalls his emotional breakdown while remembering Shagun Sharma.
Aman Gandhi admitted that he was a little regretful about his eviction from Bigg Boss 20, although he had a gut feeling that he might be leaving the show. He also felt that Mary Kom should have been evicted instead, questioning her contribution to the show.
Sharing why he felt Mary Kom should have been evicted in his place, Aman said, "I think Mary Kom should've got out instead of me. If I look at it content-wise, her personality is such that she works out for two and a half hours, then eats and prepares for her next meal. She works out again in the evening, chills a little after that, and goes to sleep. So, I don't know what her contribution is to the show."
Recalling the lowest moment in the house, Aman said, "What affected me was when I got hurt by Qazi Touqeer, and it started affecting me emotionally. Uditi and Arishfa were sensible and genuinely cared about me. But I feel that a boy needs his companions. Sometimes, I missed Qazi and the boys' company. But whenever I tried to go and talk to the boys, they would use it as a reason to pick fights."
Addressing the narrative of being labelled Uditi's assistant, Aman Gandhi said he found the claims about him irritating. He added, "It was so irritating to see. I got tired of saying that, in real life, I don't keep grudges. I was following someone else's mind."
Aman also addressed his comments about Kanika's appearance, where he had discussed her chin and lips with other housemates, suggesting they looked altered and did not move naturally. Acknowledging that his remarks were inappropriate, he said, "It was my fault. That was below the belt. That was wrong on me. So, I apologise in front of everybody."
Aman Gandhi was critical of Mahhi Vij's gameplay, accusing her of trying to be cunning and over-smart. He said, "She's trying to be a wannabe, cunning girl. All my problems started the day I understood Mahhi. She's trying to be over-smart."
Aman Gandhi also opened up about breaking down while remembering his ex-girlfriend Shagun Sharma inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. He said the heightened emotions in the house had led him to express feelings he would otherwise have kept private. "I don't want to go into too much detail. When I came out and saw Shagun's interview, I felt she was very uncomfortable talking about it. She said that a public platform was not the right place to discuss it, so let's respect that. It's not my right to talk about it. But I will say that emotions get heightened, and you do such things in the house," he said.
