The reality show is set to witness a major change in its Weekend Ka Vaar hosting as Salman Khan informed the housemates and the viewers that he will be absent from next week's episode. He shared the update during the Sunday (October 18, 2026) episode of Bigg Boss 20.

Salman Khan also shared that filmmaker Rohit Shetty would take over the hosting duties in his absence. The announcement has garnered attention among viewers, who enjoy watching Salman interact with contestants, call out their behaviour and address controversies inside the Bigg Boss house.

Rohit Shetty will host Bigg Boss 20's next Weekend Ka Vaar

While a major announcement regarding the hosting change has been made, the reason behind Salman's absence hasn't been revealed yet in the information disclosed. It also remains unclear whether Rohit Shetty would appear in just a single episode of Weekend Ka Vaar or will host both episodes.

Rohit Shetty, known for directing some blockbusters including Singham, Chennai Express, among others, is a familiar face of hosting reality television. The filmmaker has been a host of the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi for several seasons. Unlike Khatron Ke Khiladi, which emphasises physical tasks and overcoming challenges, Bigg Boss revolves around confrontations, relationships and personal dynamics.

Meanwhile, a social media post by Reality Scoop has also shared an update about Salman being replaced by Rohit next weekend. With Rohit Shetty preparing to take the hosting duties, viewers can expect a different style when the next Weekend Ka Vaar episode releases.
