Uditi Singh, who has been making waves with her game on Bigg Boss 20, had exclusively spoken to mid-day before entering the controversial reality show. The actress opened up about her favourite former contestant, her approach to the game, whether she would want to see ex-contestants return, and the biggest challenge she anticipated inside the house.
Looking back at the earlier seasons, Uditi revealed that she was a dedicated viewer of Bigg Boss 7 and had a clear favourite. "I used to watch season 7 very religiously. So my favorite was Gauahar Khan. I really like her," she said. Gauahar's stint on the show, where she emerged as the winner, clearly left an impression on Uditi, who now finds herself navigating her own journey inside the Bigg Boss house.
On the possibility of bringing contestants from previous seasons into the house, Uditi admitted that she would rather see a completely fresh mix of participants. "I would not want to take anybody from the previous season. I would rather, like a new season when new people come. New people come because we've seen old contestants as an audience. So I would not really want anyone from the previous season. Though I've had my favorites," she said.
Uditi also described herself as someone who does not easily back down from a challenge. "I'm very competitive as a person. I don't really give up that easily," she said. While she acknowledged that an injury could force her to stop, she maintained that she would otherwise push herself to complete a task. "If I get injured a lot by chance, maybe then I'll have to stop. Otherwise, I wouldn't give up without completing my task," she added.
When asked if she could nominate someone she had grown close to, Uditi admitted it would not be easy. "It would be a difficult choice for me. But because I'm here to play the game, and if I have to, even with a heavy heart, I might nominate person I like also."
She also revealed that earning her trust would take time. "I take a lot of time to trust people and let them in." However, she added, "I am on the other hand, a person who can talk to everybody easily. But if somebody is my friend, then it has to be like very special bond."
For Uditi, the toughest part of the experience was always going to be staying away from her loved ones. "I think my biggest challenge would be staying away from my loved ones because I am very close to my family and my pet Laila. That would be the toughest thing for me to do, having no contact with them," she said.
