Bigg Boss 20: Kanika Mann recalls abusive relationship, says ex-boyfriend threatened to kill her

Bigg Boss 20 contestant Kanika Mann recently opened up about a disturbing relationship from her past, revealing how her ex-boyfriend would physically abuse, stalk and blackmail her. Recalling some shocking incidents, the actor shared how she eventually managed to get out of the relationship.

Narrating how she met him, she said, "So, Facebook chalayi, Facebook pe account banaya. Jo pehle ladka, jisne thoda sa bhau diya, wo apna boyfriend ban gaya." However, she later described him as a "psycho". She said, "He was an abusive man. Wo bina bataye mere class mein aa jaata tha. He slapped me in the corridor in front of the whole class because I wore a strappy dress." She also remembered having recently got a piercing and being left bleeding after the incident.

She further recalled, "He threw the phone in the crowd and slapped me because he was aggressive. This is a violent love story." Kanika revealed that he would threaten to call her father if she refused to accompany him. He eventually made the call, but her father did not answer that day. She further revealed, "He started blackmailing me."

Explaining how that relationship ended, she recalled, "I studied law for 8-9 months and understood some things. He once followed me from the hostel to my department, held my hand and pulled me. He was wearing a hoodie and had a knife in his hand. He then removed that and threatened me by slitting his wrist. The way he was abusive, I was afraid that he could kill me too."

She further recalled immediately asking someone to call the police. The person called the police, which left her ex-boyfriend frightened. "The police took him away. He was in jail for 2-3 days. His entire family and relatives then started threatening me. They said that they would kill me."

When Kanika spoke about trust issues

Mann had opened up about trust issues and hyper-independence, revealing how past experiences shaped her outlook on relationships. She said she now relies on herself emotionally, financially and socially, while admitting that attachment scares her.

Her revelation comes at a time when her equation with Gullu has also been discussed inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. The two have been seen sharing playful moments and conversations, with their bond becoming a talking point among the contestants.
