Bigg Boss 20: Salman Khan reveals his mother is Kanika Mann's Naagin 7 fan, jokes 'Not dragonfly mumma, she played dragon'

Bigg Boss 20 has officially premiered, bringing together contestants from different walks of life, including actors, influencers and public figures. The milestone season opened with a high-energy performance on 20 iconic songs before host Salman Khan took the stage and introduced the first contestant of the season, television actress Kanika Mann.

Known for her work in shows such as Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Payega and her recent stint as the dragon in Naagin 7, Mann made a striking entry into the Bigg Boss 20 house. During her introduction, Salman revealed that his mother is a fan of the actress and her work.

"My mom is your big fan, but my mom told me an interesting thing about you. In Naagin you were a dragon or dragon fly," Salman told her.

Mann was quick to correct him with a dose of humour. "I was a dragon sir, not dragon fly. I would spew fire," she replied.

Salman then continued the joke, referring to the confusion over her character. "Mumma, not a jugnu, she was a big dragon in the show," he quipped.

The host also used Mann's Naagin 7 character to tease viewers about how her personality could unfold inside the Bigg Boss house. Pointing out that television shows have writers who decide when a character's powers emerge, Salman asked, "In shows, the writer decides when will the dragon come out. Here there are no writers, so when will Kanika's dragon mode come out in Bigg Boss 20 house?"

After Mann entered the house, Salman turned to Bigg Boss to find out what viewers and contestants could expect from the new season. Bigg Boss hinted that the contestants would be in for several surprises from the very beginning.

"There are a lot of surprises for the contestants inside the house, from day 1 itself the season is set to be action packed for all of them," Bigg Boss said.

Bigg Boss gives a task to Kanika Mann

Mann soon discovered that entering the house first came with its own advantage, and responsibility. She was called into the confession room and given a special task that could influence the other contestants entering after her.

"Being the first contestant inside the house, Bigg Boss gives a task to Kanika, she will be the puppet master and all the contestants after her, will be her puppets. The ones she won't like will lose something in the house," Bigg Boss announced.

With the ‘puppet master' power in her hands, Mann's first challenge has already set the tone for what promises to be a drama-filled season.
