Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah mention in Spider-Man Brand New Day

In one of the scenes, between Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, MJ, played by Zendaya, and Spider-Man, portrayed by Tom Holland, the three are seen talking about technology. In the Hindi dub of the film, Ned can be seen asking Spider-Man about a technology, which the latter refuses to answer.

That's when Ned says in Hindi, "Bata bhi do Mota Bhai, risk hai toh ishq hai. (Tell me, brother. If there is risk, there is love)." Spider-Man responds to this, saying, "Sethji, Baga yeh raaz Bawri ko bhi nahi batayega. (Sir, Baaga will not reveal this secret to Bawri also)," referring to the characters of Baga and Bawri from Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah.

As the clip was circulated on X, one user commented, "Tmkoc got ittt" However, many users criticised the dub. One user wrote, "MCU's Hindi dubbing has always been terrible. Still remember Wanda & Pietro's Bhojpuri accent. The Odyssey showed how brilliant Hindi dubbing can actually be." Meanwhile, another user quipped, "Marvel used to do super fun Hindi-dubbed..... aint no way i am watching this in hindi now."

Meanwhile, many noted that the English version originally had a Game of Thrones reference.

Spider-Man in Gokuldham society

As part of the promotions of the film, an episode of Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah even had a person dressed up as the superhero character arriving in Gokuldham society. In the episode, Spider-Man lands in the society and touches the feet of Champaklal, played by Amit Bhatt, as a sign of seeking blessings, which scares the elderly character for a brief moment.
