Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya announce pregnancy
Earlier this week, reports emerged that TV couple Vivek Dahiya and Divyanka Tripathi are expecting their first child. Now the couple who tied the knot 10 years ago have officially confirmed the news.
The couple officially announced the news via thier Instagram account. Sharing pictures from their maternity photoshoot, the parents-to-be wrote, "Plot twist after 10 years. Some journeys are not about rushingâ¦They're about becoming ready- together. And just when you think your story is complete⦠life adds the most beautiful chapter. Still soaking it in⦠still smiling for no reasonâ¦With our hearts full of gratitude - We are expecting."
Similarly, during a conversation with Vickey Lalwani, Divyanka explained how their low profile for the last few months had helped them keep the news a secret. She said, "We managed to hide it for six full months. Vivek and I wanted the baby only now; we tried, and it happened. We are blessed."
It was only after she recently attended an event that her absence from public appearances was questioned, leading the secret to spill out. Divyanka further shared that the baby is expected in mid-June, as the families are excited. It will be the couple's first child. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress revealed that shopping is set to begin soon.
She concluded by saying that the names for the baby have not been decided yet and that they do not have any preferences about having a boy or a girl.
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya first met on the sets of the popular television show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, where they worked together. Their friendship soon turned into love, and the couple got married on July 8, 2016, in a grand yet intimate ceremony in Bhopal. The wedding was attended by close friends and members of the television fraternity.
Earlier on Valentine's Day, Divyanka had dropped mushy pictures together with the caption, "10th Valentine's already! Doesn't feel like it though! However awkward you may feel by PDA, Jaan, but I promise to be cheesy forever!!!!! Happy Valentine's Day."
The couple has often been asked about their plans to start a family. Although they have usually responded with humour and avoided giving a definite timeline, the couple has also said they believe such decisions must happen at the right time.
