Shehbaz Badesha
Just a week before the Bigg Boss 19 finale, Shehbaz Badesha has been evicted from the show. In an exclusive conversation with mid-day, he looked back at his journey, his bond with Amaal Mallik, and his unfiltered opinions on Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, and the remaining contestants.
Shehbaz described his overall journey as memorable and enjoyable. "I enjoyed a lot, and I enjoyed a lot. It was a glorious time there," he said, reflecting on his weeks inside the house.
One of the highlights for viewers was his bond with Amaal Mallik. Speaking about their friendship, he shared, "All our memories were good. Our theft was good. That was our best memory. You must have seen the rest." He acknowledged that Amaal was deeply emotional after his eviction.
Salman Khan had repeatedly advised Shehbaz to be mindful of his behaviour, especially with jokes crossing the line. Shehbaz agreed that the advice made a difference. "I felt that whatever Salman sir said was right. And I felt that after what he said, my game got better. I used to say what I had to say without thinking. Whatever he said was right for me. And when I came out, I realised that I played well after that."
With the finale approaching, Shehbaz didn't hold back on his views about Tanya Mittal. "Tanya is a fake contestant," he declared. When asked why, he said, "When I was there, I knew that she overshadows herself. She exaggerates herself."
Addressing her claims and her brother's visit, he added humorously, "He called you to prove that he has what I am saying. I could have said that Elon Musk is my aunt's son. Now that I am out, he didn't call me. He didn't send me a ticket. I am waiting for the ticket. Outside talks are outside. But inside, that was a game. I feel that whoever has it, never tells."
Shehbaz believes Malti Chahar's entry negatively impacted the game. "When Malti came home, the game was very high. So, she went down. One bull went down and the other came up."
He also responded to her claim that she boosted the show's TRPs. "Salman Bhai told her about the weekend how much the game went up and how much it didn't. He told her. I don't need to say this. I feel that after she came, people must have been irritated. What is she saying? I feel that the game has gone down a lot."
Amidst various struggle stories from contestants, Shehbaz felt that only one person came across as real to him. "I used to find Amaal genuine. I neither listened to his stories nor did I use to listen to them. I used to leave from there."
Shehbaz is clear about who deserves the trophy. "There will be only one deserving winner. That is Amaal. The rest will be in God's hands. I feel that Amaal is the best."
When asked about Gaurav's contribution, Shehbaz was blunt. "There is no contribution of Gaurav. He did not say anything. He played the game on the backdoor and came in the end in a week or two. He did not come openly. Actually, he played well. I feel that he played in Sumdi quietly. But his game was not that big as compared to other players."
Shehbaz says Bigg Boss was the only reality show he ever wanted to do. "I will not do a reality show. I had only one manifest. I have done that. I am the biggest in India. I do not want to go to the lower level. I will go up now."
With his candid opinions and trademark humour, Shehbaz Badesha leaves Bigg Boss 19 with the same confidence and boldness he showcased inside the house.
