Television actress Manasi Salvi has finally broken her silence on her controversial exit from Mahadev and Sons, addressing the ongoing dispute with the show's makers and revealing that she is preparing to take legal action. The actress stated that she and her legal team are filing a defamation case against the producer, accusing him of misrepresenting facts and spreading misleading narratives about her departure.
According to Manasi, the issue began months ago when she started facing uncertainty regarding her role on the show. She alleged that the producer repeatedly sent her messages and voice notes claiming that the channel was unhappy with her character and wanted her removed. This, she said, created confusion and emotional stress, as she was led to believe that her presence on the show was no longer valued. Over time, her screen time reportedly reduced, and her shooting schedule became irregular, making it difficult for her to plan her work commitments effectively.
After enduring the situation for several months, Manasi decided to formally communicate her exit. She sent an official email stating that she intended to leave the show by May 15. According to her, the production house initially responded positively, acknowledging her request and indicating that her work would be wrapped up by the specified date. However, the situation took an unexpected turn days later when the makers allegedly reversed their stance and attempted to enforce the original contract.
The actress claimed that this sudden reversal was not legally valid, prompting her lawyers to step in and respond to the production house. She also expressed frustration over the way the matter was handled publicly, alleging that the producer shared distorted versions of events with the media and industry bodies instead of addressing her concerns directly. This, she said, left her with no choice but to speak out and pursue legal action.
Manasi further emphasised that discussing legal proceedings publicly is not something she prefers, but the circumstances forced her to clarify her position. She maintained that her decision to leave was professional and justified, given the challenges she faced during her time on the show.
The controversy has sparked widespread discussion among fans and industry insiders, especially as it highlights deeper issues related to contracts, communication, and transparency in television productions. While the makers have previously hinted at possible legal action against her, Manasi's latest statement signals that the dispute has now escalated into a full-fledged legal battle, with both sides standing firm on their claims.
