Rohit Chandel, who spent nearly two months in police custody following his arrest in POCSO case, has announced his Bollywood debut with the Arjun Rampal starrer Blind Game. The actor was last seen in Sairaab. For the unversed, Chadel was granted bail by a Mumbai Sessions Court in September 2026 in a case registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He was accused of stalking, harassing and assaulting a 16-year-old girl. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that the film offered him an opportunity to break away from his romantic hero image.
While speaking exclusively to E-Times, Rohit Chandel expressed his excitement about his Bollywood debut. He said that the role in his first film is tough. Blind Game is set to release on Zee5 on November 4, 2026. He explained, "This is something new as well as challenging, which I wanted to work on because I've mostly done romantic shows so far, but this is something dark. It's a suspense thriller, and I am sure the audience will love it because it has a really good cinematic touch."
Talking about his experience with Arjun Rampal, Rohit said he was delighted to share screen space with the actor. At the time, Rohit was also shooting for his television show Kashibai Bajirao Ballal. After wrapping up his schedule, he headed straight to the sets of Blind Game. The entire film was shot in Manali. Reflecting on his experience, he said, "I was really happy to see Arjun Rampal. He is a very good co-actor to work with, and he is very supportive. We really had good scenes together."
Rohit Chandel revealed that he shot the film back in 2022, making its release after four years a long-awaited moment for him. The actor also expressed his willingness to return to television, adding that he is grateful for the love and support he has received for Sairaab.
Speaking about his plans, Rohit said, "Television is definitely my forte, but let's see where the journey takes me from here. The show has set a certain benchmark, so I am looking for something equally exciting. I hope to take up interesting roles and see what comes next."
Over the years, Rohit has been part of television shows, including Pandya Store, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and so on. After his arrest, Rohit was replaced by Krishna Kaul in Sairaab, which also featured Madirakshi Mundle as the female lead. The show went off-air on September 22, 2026.
