Shilpa Shinde recently made headlines after admitting that she had filed a fake sexual harassment case against the producer Sanjay Kohli in 2016. She received a lot of backlash for her revelation, including Hina Khan, who slammed the 'shameful' act. Now, Shilpa has seemingly hit back at her.
Shilpa took to Instagram to slam those who are criticising her, saying, "Log mere naam pe publicity gain karna kab band karenge. Chalti train mein mat chadhiye aapko chot lagegi. Publicity gain karne ke liye aaplogon ke pas apni bimariyan hain, ghar ke logon ki jo death hui hai wo hain, to aapko kyu Shilpa Shinde chahiye?" Although she did not directly mention names, many users on the internet believe she took a jab at Hina Khan.
Shilpa added, "Us waqt agar saath diya hota, toh aaj yeh naubat nahi aati. Nau saal ke baad humne kaam kar liya. Mujhe kisi ne nahi kaha bolo, lekin main ek ladki ke father aur ek aurat ke husband ke liye khadi hoon, kyunki maine jhooth bola tha. Main apne dil par jhooth lekar nahi jee sakti. Agar us waqt maine unhe arrest karwa diya hota, toh main aaj khud arrest ho jaati ki meri galti hai, mujhe de do. Lekin maine aisa kyun kiya? Saam, daam, dand, bhed padhiye. Agar nahi padha ho toh Mahabharat dekhiye."
Shilpa questioned why people constantly target her while concluding the video. "Kyu mere peeche padte ho? Mere se kya chahiye aap logon ko? Aaj maine sach bola hai aur sach bolne ke liye main kisi ke baap se nahi darti, jisko jo bhaunkna hai bhauke," she said.
Hina Khan had previously slammed Shilpa over her confession. Reacting to Shilpa's statement, Hina said, "This is very unfortunate. It is because of such incidents that people often doubt real victims when they come forward with their experiences."
The actress in her social media post emphasised that complaints related to sexual harassment should never be treated lightly. She added that making false accusations weakens the credibility of legitimate cases and can also discourage survivors from speaking up.
"When someone falsely accuses another person, it affects everyone involved. It damages reputations and also creates skepticism around genuine complaints," Hina wrote.
