Actress Vahbiz Dorabjee has recently been urging her friends to report a Facebook account that has been created in her name and been using her identity without her permission. The fake page has shared her personal contact details and email ID due to which she has been swamped with calls and messages from unknown people which has now begun to trouble her.
Reacting to the whole matter, Vahbiz Dorabjee spoke to Bombay Times, she shared, "Unknown men started messaging me and then someone sent me a link and asked 'is this really you?' so I opened the link and was horrified. My number and email ID have been shared, I don't think any fan would do this. I am sure this has been done in spite and enmity just to harass me."
Vhabiz who garnered immense love through her show Pyaar Ke Ye Ek Kahaani also mentioned that she has been constantly blocking unknown numbers while trying to get that fake account taken down, but things haven't been that easy, "I am constantly blocking unknown numbers and planning to approach the Cyber Crime Cell to help me get this page down."
Amid all of this, one of the only option that stands strong to end this misery is getting her number changed, however, Vahbiz hopes that the matter shall get resolved before it comes to that conclusion, she shared, "This has been my number for 20 years, I hope I don't have to change it. I will try not to take that step, but I want to teach the miscreant a lesson."
Earlier, while talking to mid-day about her acting journey, Vahbiz had recalled her favourite character from her shows, she said, "I do miss the TV days; it had its own era when it was larger than life. The largest medium earlier was television. Today, the audience and its content are divided. There are so many options on what to watch and what not to. That is also one of the reasons why these days actors aren't receiving that kind of stardom. Earlier, TV actors were real stars; nowadays, very few people are actually going to the theatre, and there aren't any blockbuster films. It is a low phase for the Industry. Meanwhile, OTT has been booming, and I would love to do some OTT shows."
