The countdown to Rise and Fall Season 2 is getting more dramatic, with the reality show steadily expanding its eclectic line-up. After announcing Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Karan Patel, Swara Bhasker and Shehzad Poonawalla, the makers have now revealed Sara Gurpal, Kajal Raghwani, Niharika Tiwari, Kaira and Tej Pratap Yadav as the latest entrants.
Hosted by Virender Sehwag, the second season revolves around a power struggle between Rulers and Workers. The Rulers enjoy the privileges of the Penthouse, while the Workers live in the Basement. Power can shift through challenges, strategy, alliances, betrayals and votes, allowing those at the top to fall and those below to rise.
Sara Gurpal and Kajal Raghwani will bring their own reality-TV and entertainment experience to the mix. While Sara is known for her work across Punjabi entertainment, Kajal has established herself as a prominent name in Bhojpuri cinema. Their entry adds two more distinct personalities to a line-up already spanning television, films, reality shows and public life.
The season also marks the return of former Splitsvilla contestants Niharika Tiwari and Kaira to the reality-show space. Their announcement video suggests that their existing equation is unlikely to remain outside the Tower. The two trade sharp remarks, with Kaira taking a dig at Niharika's accent and appearance. Niharika hits back, warning Kaira that she cannot simply rely on her familiar style to move ahead in this game.
Their history could make for an interesting equation once they enter the Tower, especially since the show requires contestants to constantly negotiate shifting alliances and changing positions.
Adding another unexpected dimension to the line-up is Tej Pratap Yadav, son of veteran Bihar politician Lalu Prasad Yadav and a former Bihar minister. His entry video sees him using the imagery of a banyan tree, declaring that his roots are stronger than his branches. He also makes it clear that he intends to establish his own "darbaar" in the Penthouse and rule over those in the Basement.
Tej Pratap further declares, "Humara parivaar pura Bihar hai," giving his introduction a distinctly personal and political-family reference.
With 15 celebrities set to compete, Rise and Fall Season 2 promises shifting power equations as contestants attempt to climb from the Basement to the Penthouse. The show premieres on September 26 and will stream for free on Prime Video and the MX Player, with episodes available daily at 12 pm.
