The Traitors Season 2 crowned Krystle D'Souza and Rida Tharana as winners on Thursday, September 3, 2026. However, soon after the winners were announced, several users took to social media to question if Rida was a "deserving" winner of the season. The content creator has now reacted to the trolls via a long Instagram post, while reflecting on her journey in the show.
Rida Tharana shared a long note on Instagram Stories addressing trolls after her win. She began her post by writing, "One thing I hope people remember while watching my journey is that my game wasn't just about how I played as a Traitor." She went on to add that she entered the show as an Innocent, and even managed to identify a Traitor during her journey.
Reflecting on her stint as a Traitor, Rida admitted, "Was I the most fearless Traitor? Absolutely not. I was terrified. I struggled with lying. I cried. I questioned myself. There were moments where the game genuinely got the better of me emotionally. You got to see the ambitious, strategic side of me, but you also got to see a very raw and emotional side of me that I couldn't hide even if I wanted to."
She further wrote, "And somewhere between being an Innocent and becoming a Traitor, making good decisions and bad ones, trusting people, betraying people, breaking down and still continuing to play... I made it to the end."
Rida , in her note, also urged viewers and trolls to look at her overall journey on the show. "You don't have to think I was the greatest Traitor to ever play the game. But I hope when you look at my journey, you look at the whole thing. Because I don't think my win belongs only to the Traitor I became. It belongs to the Innocent I was, the Traitor I had to become, and the person you saw through all of it," she concluded.
After eliminating Dalip Tahil, Shalini Passi, and Sahil Salathia, Rida and Krystle chose to trust each other, and revealed that they two were traitors, thus winning the show jointly. For their win, the two took home a whopping prize amount of Rs 66 lakh.
