Filmmaker Leena Yadav, whose latest release House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths on Netflix has been grabbing eyeballs tells mid-day.com, making the film wasn't an easy job. Speaking about how she got people involved in the case to open up, she says, "Firstly it was essential for me to get permission to speak to cops involved in the investigation to get to the truth of the investigative part of it. I met Shri Amulya Patnaik, the Commissioner of police at that time and he gave me complete access which was a huge support.

With friends and family, it was difficult because I understand it's not a wound that is going to heal for any of them. For us to open that wound and say go back to that space and talk about that is really difficult. So we treated everybody with respect. If they chose not to speak we respected that and I'm grateful to the people who did. There was something left incomplete in them, that's why they chose to speak. There were difficult conversations much more for them than for us.

I remember doing one interview of a family member and at the end he said, this was therapeutic for us because we have not even spoken among ourselves since it happened."
