Eri silk weaves are on display at Vaya stores
Apparel always forms an integral part of celebrations of festivals. Vaya, a handmade and handcrafted retail for fabrics and sarees, has an early-Dussehra showcase of designs. It has just kickstarted a three-day exhibition of authentic Eri Silk branded as Ereena, in Colaba.
Eri silk weaves are on display at Vaya stores
Ereena's assorted collection of weaves is known to be inspired by the rich, ancient tradition of rearing, spinning and weaving Eri in a remote region nestled near the Himalayan foothills. The fabric is diverse enough to be donned through all seasons, an incredible quality that helps one be comfortable in summer and snug during winter.
On display will be this season's limited edition collection of saris inspired by the rich Ikat weaving tradition and spun from Ereena's home-produced Eri Silk.
