Padma Shri Sonu Nigam, kicked off his much-awaited âSatrangi Re India Tour' on November 9 at MMRDA Grounds, in BKC, in Mumbai. The evening witnessed an overwhelming turnout drawing 13,000 fans, who lit up the venue with their colourful zylobands, who came together to create an unforgettable experience. With a mesmerising performance that set the tone for the multi-city musical spectacle ahead, the concert marked the grand opening night of the tour.
The concert, conceptualised by BookMyShow Live, delivered a sensory feast of sound, light and colour, weaving together music and storytelling. The opening night performance served as a soulful tribute to the emotions and experiences that have shaped Nigam's four-decade long journey in music.
Addressing his beloved fans, Sonu Nigam expressed, "A very warm welcome to all of you. Itna pyaar, itne log, I am truly very grateful to each one of you and to God".
Nigam performed fan-favourite hits including âBijuria', âPardesiya', âJeene Ke Hai Char Din', âPapa Meri Jaan', âYeh Dil Deewana', âSaathiya', âSatrangi Re', âMain Agar Kahoon', Sooraj Hua Madham', âAll Is Well', âShukran Allah' drawing thunderous applause and soulful sing-alongs from thousands of fans. The audience was transported through a spectrum of emotions, from passion and joy to longing and reflection. Sonu Nigam delighted the audiences by inviting a few lucky fans from the crowd to join him on stage,as they grooved together to the iconic hookstep of his hit, âBijuria'
Backed by a world-class band and a visually spectacular stage design inspired by the seven hues of the âSatrangi Re' theme, the concert delivered a sensory feast of sound, light and colour.
Several renowned celebrities including Munawar Faruqui, Salim Merchant, Nakuul Mehta, Tanmay Bhatt, Sahiba Bali, Shaan Grover, Rishabh Sawhney, Lauren Gottlieb were also spotted at the concert.
