On the occasion of the New Year, Nowrosjee Wadia Maternity Hospital welcomed newborn babies born on January 1 in Parel.
While some prefer to celebrate the birthday the previous day, those born at midnight will official celebrate their birthdays on January 1, making them the first babies of the year along with all those born on the day
The six babies were born between midnight to till 12 noon today at the city-based hospital, amid excitement among hospital staff reminding not only themselves but also the world of their how important their jobs
In the larger context, the babies are also often called 'New Year baby' or 'moon baby' because they are born in the night
Lastly, all those babies born in 2026 will also be a part of Gen Beta, the generation that will be born from 2025 to 2036 onwards amid technology, apart from the Gen Alpha that came before them, and were born between 2010 and 2024
