'I don't want him to talk about us on social media'

My boyfriend thinks it's okay to talk about our relationship on Twitter, which I am not comfortable with because I don't like discussing anything personal on a public platform. Am I being paranoid?
Of course not. You have the right to decide what you choose to keep private, despite the inane urge a lot of people seem to have, to share all aspects of their lives with the rest of the world. If you're not comfortable with it, your boyfriend needs to stop talking about you online.

I spent the last couple of months travelling between two cities for work, and really hit it off with one of my colleagues. Now, the travel is done and I am back in my home city, while he is in Delhi. I wish we could spend more time together, but we can't because he doesn't have to travel here for work. I think he knows we could get together and make it work because we really like each other, but neither of us is willing to take the plunge and move to the other city to give it a shot, possibly because it will affect our careers. I don't want to lose him, but I don't want to give up on my career either. What if I regret my decision?

Ask yourselves if you want to give this a shot and then take a call on which one of you will be less affected by the move. If neither of you think you can give up your careers and take the plunge, a long-distance relationship is another option, although that comes with its own set of challenges. Either way, the first step is to have this conversation before deciding what to do next.
