You tell him openly and honestly because that's what people in a relationship expect from one another. What option do you have anyway? If you don't, you're the one who has to kiss him, so why wait?

I am from Mumbai and like a guy from Karnataka. We became friends on Instagram, but haven't met yet. I have found him to be different from most guys. If you want to help him, and understand the way he feels, you simply have to spend more time with him offline. Without that, trying to help him deal with a stressful situation will be difficult for you to do. Not speaking to him is not the solution.
