Fashion stylist Greeshma Thampi says neutrals such as tan, brown, beige, khaki, olive, terracotta and rust are earthy, versatile and flattering. They can also pare down more statement prints and be a good starting point

Thampi says it is advisable to choose linen, cotton and viscose blends for a relaxed and weather-suitable look

The stylist adds that flowy, easy fits work best for day looks. Add a few tailored pieces for evening wear

You can also accessorise your look with sunglasses, open-toe sandals and hats in neutral colours

Lastly, don’t go overboard with mixing too many prints. If the designs are large, balance them with solid pieces. For instance, pair a jungle print co-ord set with neutral accessories, a printed bikini with a solid sarong in a neutral colour, or a printed shirt with linen trousers
