After becoming a beta tester for WhatsApp, you will be able to use all the features rolled out under the beta version of the Facebook-owned instant-messaging app.
Open a WhatsApp contact and click the phone icon, after which you can choose from Voice call and Video Call. Choose the latter to start a video call with your friend. Of course, it only works both ways if your friend has the same version.
WhatsApp, has made available yet another new feature in its beta version. Called Status, it allows users to share pictures and videos as per mood with other elements such as emojis.
The content shared, will however disappear with 24 hours, which makes it similar to an identical feature in Snapchat - Stories.
