'My guy cautions me about smoking and drinking'

Three, I smoke as well as drink. He doesn't mind but he keeps pointing out the harm that bad habits have on health. Now to be honest, I'm not at the point of quitting any of my vices yet. However, I want this relationship to last because there's something pure about him that I don't want to lose him. What do I do?

Dear Dhruma,
Your guy is a teetotaller but does not mind his girl smoking and drinking. So what if he reminds you of the health effects? Don't cigarette and liquor ads carry statutory warnings about the dangers of indulging in it? He is just striking a word of caution for you because he cares for you. He is not telling you to quit, right? So why are you feeling the heat. For now let things be as it is. I am sure over time you will realise the health hazards and overcome the habit.
