Dear Diana,
I was with this guy for about three months then he told me we should just be friends. After that he would still kiss me, hang out with me, and all that good stuff. The thing is I think he has been trying to get back with his ex. Even though I've done everything for him, and I mean everything, he doesn't want people to know he still hangs out with me. He keeps me a secret.
Lastu00a0 weekend, Iu00a0 texted him saying that this is too traumatic for me and I'll just leave him, even though I love him, and it will be painful. He never texted me back! I want him to want me back, and to realise that I have done so much for him. But now I can't text him first. I don't want to come across as weak. How do I make him text me and want to hang out with me? That's all I want, for him to message me. I miss him so much and can't stand not talking to him. Please advise

You sound like a really sweet and a selfless soul. I'm sorry girl but life is a pickle sometimes and no matter how hard we try there will always be some people that don't see that. In my honest opinion, I think this guy still likes his ex and maybe was using you to make her jealous and when it didn't work, he lost interest. He hasn't even bothered to reply to your text, that should tell you how much you matter to him. I don't think you will do any good to yourself being with him.
You have to take a hard stand and just avoid him. We have all cried our share of tears for the wrong guys, and someone who has been there, I can tell you, that you will emerge stronger. A person who hides you doesn't deserves you... Stick your head up and remember that you're a great girl who should be with a guy who wants to be with you. Remember if he really wants you he'll come. But if he's not, he'll leave. And it's best you end it now and then wait around for him to do so at a later date.

There is nothing alarming in this. Maybe he feels embarrassed now that you have been together a while. Perhaps he thinks you might think less of him for seeing porn. Have you tried suggesting seeing it together? Maybe he prefers to see it alone, and concentrate on you, when you are around. Nothing to worry about.

There is this guy I like from school, but we only talk briefly when we see each other. I met him when his friend introduced us online and now we IM each other for hours every night. He's really nice and friendly, and he texts me too, but I can't tell if he likes me or not. He's never indicated that he does, but it's hard to tell online unless you come right out and say it. I suggested coming over to his house the other day but and he seemed REALLY angry about that. So what do you think? Does he like me? If not, how can I make him like me?

It's a fairly simple, you IM him, you text him, but do you ever ring him or does he ever ring you? The best thing to do is to call him or just meet him and talk to him properly. Pop in the important questions like whether he thinks you and him can become more than friends. Explain that you like him.
Maybe he does like you but he is to shy to say anything. Ask him directly, on line, and live with the answer. Maybe he just wants someone to chat with, and maybe flirt with, but no serious relationshipu00a0-- not even dating. Only he has the answers. So ask. How to make him like you? Don't sink to that level, it is his choice if he feels the same way you feel about him. Keep your chin up, and be brave and go for it.
