My life is in distress after saving a damsel

Dear Diana, I'm a 19-year-old guy who has landed in big trouble. I was coming home from classes last week and saw some boys teasing a girl.

This upset me a lot so I decided to get involved and confronted them asking them to stop. I ended up being abused and even beaten by one of them. The guys also took my cellphone number and address. Now he is constantly harassing me and even threatens me on phone for my ‘herogiri" in front of that girl. What should I do?

Dear Fenil,
Why are you keeping quiet about it and facing the barrage of abuses from these roadside Romeos? And why is the girl silent too? You need to talk to an elder in your family as well as someone from the girl's side. They need to speak to these hooligans. You can also file a police complaint if they are repeatedly harassing you. You only did a good deed and you are being punished for it for no fault of yours. These guys are taking advantage of your silence. In fact the girl's family needs to complain to the cops too. If you show that you are afraid, they will harass you more. So the best option is not to let them get an upper hand. u00a0
