"When Ajay Devgan asked me to marry him, I told him I will only do that if he makes me the library that exists in the Beauty and the Beast. I now have three libraries," said Kajol, adding, "My mother had an 400-book library and I would always find a book in the loo."

Sanghi's reading habits, he said, were courtesy his grandfather in Kanpur, who would send him a book every month.

The actress, who is a big fan of Sanghi, had not recognised him at their first meeting. "My mom introduced me to his writing. When I read Chanakya's Chants I kept wondering why he didn't use his name in the first book," she quipped, adding that if given a chance, she would "love to play Chanakya".

Confessing that she is not a fan of complicated and depressing books, she said, "It's important for me that a book is easy reading. I've read many award-winning authors and found their books boring."

Kajol also braved questions about tolerance and women's empowerment. "It's very important for public personalities to speak up and be aware of what we are saying," she said. "The film industry is very accepting of people from all backgrounds, caste, religion or status."
