Anukreethy Vas

2018 Femina Miss India Anukreethy Vas is a college student from Tamil Nadu. She is pursing BA in French Literature from the prestigious Loyola College in Chennai. In this photo, she gives a spunky mix-and-match feel to a Kanjivaram sari by teaming it with a long, puff-sleeved blouse.

Playing with puns, Vas captions this photo, "Michael said I’m looking like a full kors meal (sic)"

Vas was raised by a single mother and she's proud of it. Her caption for this photo reads, "She's a strong woman raised by strong woman."

When she competed in the 2018 Femina Miss India pageant, Vas was also crowned Beauty with a purpose and Miss Beautiful Smile. Here, she is wearing an Aisha Rao lehenga for a photoshoot.

She was inspired by Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to participate in a beauty pageant. She once said, "When I saw Aishwarya Rai on TV (getting crowned), I started thinking about how one gets to be there. That's how it started. I always wanted a platform to share my views and be a great influence on life."

The 21-year-old model is also known for her headstrong captions on her Instagram. The caption for this photo reads, "What’s a queen without her king? Well, historically speaking more powerful (sic)."

In this photo, Rao is seen shining like the sun in a Kalki anarkali gown with minimal jewellery and topping it off with a bindi.

Anukreethy Vas is the first person from Tamil Nadu to have ever won the Miss India crown.

Anukreethy Vas was said to be very interested in having a career in the Indian film industry and have also tried a hand in acting in a few short films. Here, she sizzles in kanjivaram sari with a sleeveless blouse and her hair swept back and tied into a low bun.

In this photo, she stuns in a red lehenga teamed with a pair of chandbali earrings and her hair let loose.

Vas is also a state-level athlete and loves bike riding, singing, dancing apart from modelling. Her caption for this picture reads, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do!"

In this throwback picture, she stands out in a blush pink lehenga with minimal jewellery.

Here, she looks ethereal in this white lehenga with red earrings that add a pop of colour to her look.

Vas also has a desire to learn different languages from across the world.

Here, wearing her crown with a beige sari, Vas poses with her favourite teacher. She posted this photo on the occasion of Teacher's Day paying tribute to him.
